Copied from Lorain County's out-of-print publication, Cemetery Inscriptions of Lorain County, Ohio 1980, by Volunteer, Margaret Cheney, 1999. This is on the north side of SR 113 just east of Gifford Road. The date of its first establishment is unknown, but the earliest date on a tombstone was that of Catherine Higgins in 1817. It is known that in March 1853, Moses and Laura Fuller received $26.50 from the trustees of the East Cemetery Association for 0.55 acres of land in Lot #90. The Trustees were William Hales, Monroe Kniffen, Henry Dunham, Nathan Bristol and Philemon Shepard.
