VANCE, Madison County resident. Searching for information or relatives of John Colby VANCE [1861-1932] married to Regina Gordon [1865 - 1952]. Was originially from near Gallipolis, Oh. or across the river in W. Virginia. They had a son Henry VANCE [1890 - 1918] married to Iva Pearl Forth [1887 - 1927]. They lived in Plain City and were the parents of Nellie May, Stella Faye, John Colby and Margaret VANCE. I am sure there are still relatives in the area. I would like to contact them if possible. Please e-mail me if you have any information. Trying to compile a family history and need to find out the parents and grandparets, etc. of the first John Colby Vance. Am curious to know if anyone knows where the middle name Colby came from. John, Regina, Henry and Iva are buried near Plain City. Thank You.

I'm seeking information on family of John Trott Warner b. 1783 in Fairfax Co. Va Died 1864 in Madison Co. Ohio son of Joseph Warner. Married on Feb. 13, 1806 in Belmont Co. Ohio to Sophia Wisor, born 1785 Belmont Co. Ohio. Died 1866 Madison Co. Ohio. Only child I have listed is a Simon Wisor Warner born July 04, 1811. Any information on this family and other children would be a great help.

I am looking for any addiitonal information on the BRITTIN/BRITTON's in Madison County. Warren BRITTIN/BRITTON born approx. 1845 married to a Lyde MILLER. A son, Walter BRITTON/BRITTIN b. 13 Oct 1873, d. 13 May 1905 married to Callie MILLER b. 17 Nov 1876, d. 04 Sept 1954. (On Walter's birth certificate his name is BRITTON and on his death certificate his name is BRITTIN. I have information from Walter to the present, but nothing further back. I am interested in finding out which cemetery, in or near Pike, Madison County, Perez WALTON and his wife Hannah HAMMOND WALTON are buried. Perez died in August of 1817. I do not know the death date of Hannah.

Seeking any info on F.W. 'Fred' JONES, born in Madison County, Ohio on 12 June 1834. He lived there until the fall of 1870, when he moved to Wright County, Missouri. In 1900, he came to the Indian Territory and died on 13 March 1916. He is buried at Enterprise cemetery near Stigler and Eufala Oklahoma. He was a widower twice. He had one child from his first wife. That child stayed in Ohio, Arden M. JONES, dob unknown. His second wife I think was Julie Ann Jones, born in Ohio. They had 9 children, most born in Missouri or Oklahoma.

Searching for information on Sarah HART, b. Jan. 9, 1861, married Elijah Griffith 1878 in Fayette County. First child Bertha Mae was born in Stokes Twp. Madison County. Continued to live in Madison through early 1900's. Father was possibly William Hart. Seek any possible information. Other children were Ola, Della, Clarence and Lester.

Seeking info on GEORGE WILLIAM MILLER, LONDON, MADISON COUNTY, OHIO. DOB 08 FEB 1867. Is there still a St. Patrick's Catholic Church in London? My grandfather was supposedly baptized there on March 10, 1867. His parents were George and Mary or Madelyn Miller. If this church is no longer in existence, where might the records be archived? I would appreciate any information. Thank you in advance.

TIMMONS, DAUGHERTY Looking for information on Thomas Foster TIMMONS b 1836 in West Jefferson, Madison Co OH who married Mary DIMMIS DAUGHERTY in Madison Co in Sep 1858. My maternal ggrandmother Adda Timmons MOSS did a great deal of genealogical research in the 1890's on her mother's family, the DAUGHERTYS. But nothing on her father's family, the TIMMONS. The family moved on to Butler Co MO after children were born. In 1890's her father lived in Kansas City MO.
