MEMBERSHIP in the MCC-OGS is $10.00 for the January to December membership year. Those who join during the year will be sent the back issues for that membership year. Members receive the quarterly 24-page newsletter, The Navigator, which is filled with records, genealogies, histories and news. Fill out the Membership Form and begin your Monroe County research!

MEETINGS are held the third Sunday of each month (except December) at 2:00 p.m. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held in the conference room of the Monroe County District Library, 96 Home Avenue, Woodsfield, Ohio.

THE RESEARCH ROOM at the Monroe County District Library has the greatest collection of Monroe County genealogical information anywhere! Our chapter maintains this collection of genealogical material on Monroe County and related areas. The library is located at 96 Home Avenue, Woodsfield. (740-472-1954). Open Monday through Saturday. The room is staffed Monday through Friday from 10-2, but researchers are welcome to visit the room at anytime during library hours.

FIRST FAMILIES OF MONROE COUNTY is a department of the Monroe Chapter OGS. It is open to members who can prove their line of descent from an individual who settled in Monroe County by 31 December 1830. It’s a great way to honor your ancestors! An application detailing proof of descent must be submitted with a one-time $15.00 application fee. For a roster of ancestors already accepted into First Families, please click here. PIONEER FAMILIES OF MONROE COUNTY is a department of the Monroe Chapter OGS. It is open to any member who can prove descent from an individual who settled in Monroe County by 31 December 1850. A one-time application fee of $15.00 must accompany an application form detailing proof of descent. Approved First Families members may join Pioneer Families by submitting an application and a one-time $10.00 application fee. For more information, write us or download a form.

KLEIN/CLINE LINEAGE SOCIETY is a department of the Monroe Chapter OGS. It is open to any member who can prove descent from Pieter Klein or one of his descendants.
