Bethel Township Historical Society
Dedicated to collecting, displaying, preserving, and interpreting historical articles and materials related
to Bethel Township, Miami County.

Elizabeth Township Historical Society
Dedicated to promoting interest in the history and cultural heritage of
Elizabeth Township, Ohio's only rural historic district. Maintains a museum at the above address;

Tippecanoe Historical Society
Purpose is to collect, display, preserve, and interpret historical
materials, properties, and articles relating to Tipp City. Maintains a museum of Tipp City
history; see Museums.

Troy Historical Society
Dedicated to the preservation of the history of Troy and the surrounding area.
Housed in, and provides voluntary staffing for, the Troy-Miami County Library Local History Room.
Maintains an extensive Web site containing county genealogical and historical information and sources
for further research. Ongoing projects include a survey of barns in the county; collection of histories
of properties in the area; and collection
of oral histories and memories of residents and veterans of Miami county.

Union Township Heritage Association
Operates the Union Township Museum and Quaker Research Center; see Museums.

WACO Historical Society
The Society's purpose: The preservation of History of the WACO Aircraft
Company and the Golden Age of Flight; and the education of young people in the area of math, science,
technology and history, using aviation themes as a means toward enhancing student enthusiasm and
response to traditional classroom curriculum. Operates the WACO Museum at the above address; see Museums.

Champaign County Historical Society
The Champaign County Historical Society is headquartered at the Champaign County
Historical Museum in Urbana. Its purpose is to promote education on the history of Champaign County and
administer the collection, preservation and display of artifacts, documents, and other historical resources
from all of Champaign County. Museum hours are Tues 10 - 4; first Sunday of month 1 - 4; groups by appointment.

Arcanum/Wayne Trail Historical Society
Society members share the common interest of connecting the present to the past by collecting, preserving,
interpreting, and disseminating the history of Arcanum. Housed in their newly acquired building at
123 West George St., Arcanum.

Darke County Genealogical Society
Dedicated to promoting genealogical research in Darke county. The Society helps
maintain a collection of genealogical and historical materials in the library at the Garst Museum (see Museums).
Books and other materials are donated by interested parties and others are purchased by the Genealogical
Society. The library houses an extensive surname file of non-book materials, hand-written notes, old photos,
obituaries from local papers, names of other researchers, court records, etc. All of the early Court House
records have been microfilmed and are available in the Genealogy Room. |

Logan County Historical Society
Housed in the Orr Mansion at the above address. The Society
was formed in 1945 preserve items related to personages instrumental in early settlement of the Northwest
Territory prior to the Treaty of Greenville, including Simon Kenton, Chief Blue Jacket, and British Indian
Agent Alexander McKee; and industrial development during the canal and railroad era. The Society operates
the Logan County Museum; see Museums.
