Joseph WENNING b.2 Apr 1817 in Prussia , and wife Mary A. WENNING b. 20 Dec 1818 in Europe. According to printed Mercer County, Ohio, history, Joseph WENNING built one of the first homes in that county in Philothea, Ohio, abt. 1865 and that Joseph had moved there from Cincinnati. I have found a reference to a Jospeh WENNING in the "Index to 1850 Federal Population Census of Ohio" as living in Hamilton Co. Ward 8, but cannot establish relationship. There is also a Wenning Road which intersects Pippin Road in Colerain Twp., Hamilton County. Would be interested to know if there is a connection to a family member. Any and all information related to WENNING family in OH, Northern KY, and Southern IN welcome. Other names of interest include: HOLSCHER/HOELSCHER, ROTTINGHAUS, UNTERBRINK, SPOLTMAN, STEINKE, MEYER, EGER, WERLING, MARTIN
