Uriah and Ora or Orah(?) RICKMAN lived in Carthagena, Ohio, around the late 1800s. I do not know if they were born there. Uriah RICKMAN may have been part French and Indian. His wife may have been part African-American and Indian, or had some Indian in her. They had approx. 14 children including my great grandmother, Catherine RICKMAN. Catherine married Pearl ROBINSON whom I believe also came from Carthagena. Pearl ROBINSON had a step or half sister named Zoe. Pearl ROBINSON and Catherine RICKMAN had 4 children (Viola ROBINSON, William ROBINSON, Cecile (F) ROBINSON, and Uriah ROBINSON), and eventually moved to Lorain, OH. Other possibly related names include Ina Jane RICKMAN, Mary Anna RICKMAN, Ida Belle RICKMAN, and Carl Wilson RICKMAN. If you have any information on any of the above individuals, please e-mail me.

I'm looking for info on any NOLAN/NOLAND/NOWLIN etc. families in the Miami Co. OH area. I am especially interested in : Benjamin NOLAN who left Miami Co. OH in 1834 and went to Union Twp., Mercer Co. OH and then in 1842-1843 left Ohio and went to Indiana. Benjamin NOLAN is a father candidate for my 3 G Grandfather George W. NOLAN, born Jan 1823 in OH, and married Drusilla BOWMAN in Sept1843 in Vermillion Co. IN. I am also interested in any Samuel NOLAN in the area because George's first son was named Samuel B. I am looking for information on the family of Edward KELLY, born c. 1820 in NJ. He came to Center Township (Neptune) between 1850 and 1854. He married Elizabeth POLING in 1854. They had the following children: William (1856), Emma (1858), Amos and Anna (1860). Elizabeth apparently died and Edward remarried Catherine SHEETS, (possibly Elizabeth's sister). Catherine had four children from her previous marriage. They were John (1852), Samuel M. (1854), Lydia (1857) and Jacob (1859). The Center Twp census records also list Mary Jane FAST (1848) as living with the KELLY's. William KELLY grew up to marry Mary Jane FAST. They had two children: Elizabeth (1881), and Edward (1882). There is some discrepencies as to the deaths of William and his father Edward concerning dates and ages at death. William KELLY's sister Anna married a STAUFFER. They moved to St. Mary's OH, and had the following children: Clyde, John, Mary, Jen, Ethel, Bea, and Ede STAUFFER. Ethel and Bea never married. I would appreciate any information on any of the members of this family. Edward #2 was my grandfather. I am willing to share information with others researching these lines.

to see if there are children listed for Martin PETERSEIM in the 1880 Census. It would really help. Thanks.
