Dr. Charles Thomas SELL married Caroline RUMMEL in Van Wert Co., Ohio, 1853. They had 12 children. Several settled in the Dublin/Blackcreek Twps areas of Mercer Co., Ohio. A lot of this family are buried in the Otterbein/Stringtown U.B. Church Cemetery on SR. 707 just east of SR. 118.
I am interested in sharing research on this family. Would like to know where son Joseph William SELL died (probably around 1960) and is buried. He lived for a while in Hartsville, Indiana.

William VIAN purchased land from the govm't in 1830's in Mercer Co., Ohio, but his sons didn't arrive until nearly 20 years later to settle the land. Sons Rev. Jeremian, Enos, Ira, and John VIAN and daughter Mary VIAN DOWN/DOWNES settled in the area; other siblings may have passed through on their way "west".
Would like to share information on this family. I would like to know where John VIAN is buried. He died in the Civil War near Nashville, Tenn.; left a widow Rachel and several children in the area from his two wives.

I am trying to ascertain whether any descendants of Nancy THOMAS WOLLAM (25Dec1824-13Apr19030) and Alfred WOLLAM (8Jan1818-29Jan1898) are living in Mercer County. Nancy was a daughter of my ggggrandfather, David THOMAS. She married Alfred on 13Oct1844 in Fairfield County, Ohio. They lived in Columbiana County, Ohio, for a period of years having at least eight children born there. I have not been able to learn when they moved to Mercer County. Both are buried in North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone having information on this family. I have been researching my THOMAS ancestors for eight years now and have a great deal of information on them from the 1600s in Germany to Washington and Frederick Counties, MD, from 1730 on, Fairfield County, Ohio, from 1835 to 1853 and finally Mercer County from the mid-1850s to the present time. I will be more than happy to provide this information to any one interested.
