Belmont County Cemeteries, Pease Township

St Mary's Cemetery is located on what was once part of Betty Zane's farm in Ferryview, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Established on May 8, 1900 by Rev. Father Charles Mulhearn for the Catholic Faith, the Cemetery is on Ferryview Road.

Walnut Grove Cemetery is located on North Fourth Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Established in 1795 by Absalom Martin, the entire Grove was marked out for use as a burial place. Ebenezer Martin laid out the site of today's cemetery ground in 1866. Absalom Martin was the first person to be buried in the cemetery in 1802.

Herschel Cemetery, located at Glens Run, Belmont Co, was established in 1832 by August Herschel, for private burials. Some residents of Burlington are laid to rest here.

Walnut Grove is the resting-place of the early pioneers of Martinsville, Ohio. The cemetery is no longer used as a public cemetery. It is one of the few remaining landmarks the city has.
