19 Dec 1849: JOHN TITUS and wife GRACE, FRANCIS TITUS and wife SARAH ANN, GEORGE TITUS and wife LIZA,JOSEPH TITUS and wife MARY JANE, of Muskingum Co. for $800. paid by SAMUEL TITUS, all interest in Adams Twp.,Muskingum Co., it being Lot No. 14, U. S. Military land. (Deed Bk 16 p 457).

John Titus to Samuel Titus

Know all ye men by these presents that we John Titus and Grace Titus wife of said John Titus, Francis Titus and Sarah Ann Titus wife of said Francis, George Titus and Liza Titus wife of said George Titus, Joseph Titus and Mary Jane Titus wife of said Joseph Titus of the county of Muskingum Ohio For consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars in hand paid by Samuel Titus the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge do hereby remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Samuel Titus his heirs and assigns forever allow wright (sic) title interest and estate legal and equitable in the following premises with the appertenances situate in Adams Township, Muskingum County Ohio bounded and described as follows

It being lot number fourteen (14) of the United States Military land appropriated for the use of schools in Range Number Six (6) in Township three (3) in Quarter township Two (2)

In testimony whereof we have hereunto let our hands and seal ths Sixth day of January in the year A.D. Eighteen Hundred and Forty Nine.

Muskingum County

Before me, J.H. Barclay, a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally appeared the written named John Titus and Grace his wife, Francis Titus and Sarah Ann his wife, George Titus and Liza his wife, Joseph Titus and Mary Jane his wife, and acknownledge the signing and sealing of the written conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Grace, Sarah Ann, Liza and Mary Jane being being (sic) at the same time examined by me separate and apart from their said husbands and the contents of said Instrument made known to them separately by me they then declared that they did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that they were still satisfied therewith.

This 6th day of January A.D., 1849
