Mon, Sept. 13---Volunteers will provide one-on-one genealogical research assistance to the public, 10 AM - 5 PM, in the Genealogy Library. Faces of America (Part 1) will be shown at 12 N, with discussion to follow.

Wed., Sept. 15 ---One-on-one research assistance, 10 AM - 8 PM. Presentation by K. Haybron Adams, "Muskingum County's Genealogical Records", 1-2 PM.

Thurs., Sept. 16 --- Bus tour of Zanesville's historic sites, 10 AM - 3 PM.

Saturday Sept 18th --- Annual Awards & Recognition Banquet, 5 - 8 P.M. Pleasant Grove U.M. Church, 400 Pleasant Grove Road, Zanesville. Speaker: K. Haybron Adams, "History of the Settlement of Muskingum County." Dinner is $9 per person; reservations required by Sept. 1.

We have added a new category to our Publications Page. "Newspaper Abstracts" includes many Muskingum Newspapers abstracts from 1938-1957.

MCCOGS' Website has a new look and feel. Our webmaster, Denny Shirer, has done a complete overhaul of the site and we hope to add more functions and online content as they become available.

Cemetery Transcription Project - Volunteers needed! We invite all local genealogists to assist in this project to update all the county cemetery transcriptions organized by Dug Kreis.
