    I Casper Powell do make my last will and testament this Twenty fourth day of March one thousand Eight hundred and Fifty Six.

1st I do give to my daughter, Catherine, the one half of my farm including the house and all the household goods now in it, and all cows, cattle and hogs.

2nd I do give to my grand Son John Powell my two horses and wagon, harness and all my farming utensils, and the other half of my farm. The said John Powell is to pay four hundred dollars to my 2 grand children, my son Jacob's children, Margarith C. Powell 2 hundred, and Catherine L. Powell 2 hundred when they become of age. Ann Powel my son Jacob' widow to have her living off the place as long as she keeps house for said John, and after she leaves the said John Powell to pay Six percent interest on the four hundred dollars to the said Ann Powell to be paid yearly---the said John Powell is to pay Michael Powell Fifty dollars and Peter Powell Fifty dollars to be paid in ten years without interest----the above Catherine Powell is to pay one hundred dollars to my daughter Barbary to be paid in three years without interest, and the said Catherine to pay my Son Martin and my son John each five dollars.
