Welcome, to the Dr Mary E. Walker
Tent # 151 of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
The
DUVCW was first organized May 30, 1885 then incorporated December 12,
1885 in Massillon, Ohio and endorsed by the Grand Army of the Republic
in 1900.The
objective of the DUVCW is to promote, perpetuate and perserve the
memories, deeds and loyalty of our Fathers and their
sacrifices to
preserve the Union and Flag.
Membership
in the DUV are for those of female lineal descent of a honorably
discharged Soldiers, Sailors or Marine Corps and Revenue Cutter
Service during
the Rebellion of 1861-1865 and of those that died or were killed while
in service for the Union between 12 Apr
1861 - 9 Apr 1865. (Lineal
Descent is
Daughters, Granddaughters, Great Granddaughters and so on).
The minimum age for membership is 8 yrs and must prove their ancestor's
Civil War service, if you would like to join and or need help with
