Edward Rice




Edward Rice - has been twice married. He married his first wife, Mary, in June, 1845. She died in December, 1863, leaving a son, Edward, who was born April 21, 1854, and who was married to Eliza J. Doring, November 7, 1880. She is a daughter of Joseph and Eliza Doring, the former of whom is deceased. The second wife, of Mr. Rice is Margaret A. Howey, who was born in Bloom county, New York, January 20, 1819. Her parents, both of whom are deceased, were Joseph and Catherine (Mapes) Howey. The date of the mother’s death is April, 1876. Mr. Rice was born in Summit county, Ohio, October 6, 1812. Both of his parents are deceased. They wdre Thomas and Lucy (Steel) Rice. Mr. Rice was in the war of the Rebellion, a member of the 68th Ohio, serving two years. He is a farmer of Harrison township. Address, Antwerp, Paulding county, Ohio.
