George B. Terwilleger - is engaged as an architect, contractor and builder. He has built most of the prominent buildings in the county. He was born in New Jersey, January 9, 1829. He removed from New York city to Ohio in 1856, locating in Crawford county, where he remained until 1865, when he made Antwerp his home. He was married in New York city, August 23, 1848, to Maria Louisa Luke, who was born in New York city, September 23, 1831. Their children are: Anna Maria (Clemmon), born October 11, 1849; Mary Ellen (Crouse), September 4, 1851; George Alonzo, January 27, 1854; Emer, January 26, 1857, died March 10, 1859; Edmund Kersley and John William, born October 8, 1859, the latter died July 10, 1860; Jesse Jeremiah, September 16, 1862; Ida May, September 13, 1866; Homer King, May 11, 1870, died September 3, 1872; Franklin Seymour, October 31, 1872; Grace Maude, June 17, 1877, died August 7, 1877. Mrs. Terwilleger's parents were George Luke, born 1788, died in 1840, and Mary (Pool) Luke, born in New Jersey in 1793, died in 1879. Mr. Terwilleger has served as Councillor nine years; has been Constable one year, and member of the school board five years. His parents, John Terwilleger, born in New Jersey in 1783, died in 1847, and Anna Van Blorken, born in New Jersey in 1793, died in July, 1877.
