     She was accepted, as a direct decendant of Andrew Jackson Patterson, into the Civil War Families of the  Pike Co. Genealogy & Historical Society  on November 11, 2012.

m. Nancy Jenkins 20 Feb 1865
Lived-Newton Twp. 1870
On 27 Aug 1861 enlisted Co. A. 33rd OH Vol Inf.
From his pension papers  he was 5' 4 1/2" tall, light complexion, sandy hair
 and gray eyes.
He fought in the battle of Chickamauga in Tennessee and Georgia (September 19th & 20th, 1863). This was a major Union defeat and had 2nd highest casualties after
Gettysburg.
Andrew was injured in the head and
hospitalized in Cincinnati for three months and was medically discharged.

m. Emily Jane Varney 13 Dec 1867

Served as PVT in 22nd Kentucky Vol Inf, Co. H Earl's Company fought at Fort
Hindman, Ark., Vicksburg, Miss. And then went into Louisiana.
Earl was honored during recent Mound Cemetery Walk.

     They were accepted as  direct decendant of John Stewart into the Civil War Families of the Pike County Genealogy & Historical Society on November 11, 2012.

John Stewart

b. 1756 Lancaster Co., PA
d. 1842 Pike Co., OH

Entered service at beginning of Revolution War as a PVT in a company of spies (or minute men) Stationed in the frontier to protect against Indians. Came to Ohio in 1802 and settled in Beaver where he remained until his death

His daughter Jane Stewart was born in 1795 in Northumberland Co., PA and died in Pike County, Ohio about 1856. On 22 August 186 she married Samuel Cutlip of Beaver.
