DAILY - MOORE SCHOOL REUNION
The 16th Annual Reunion of the Daily - Moore School
(September 12, 1937)
The sixteenth annual reunion of the Daily-Moore School was held at the Piketon Fairground Sunday September 12, 1937 with a goodly number present. Folks began to gather early and the forenoon was spent in renewing old acquaintances and the making of new ones. At the noon hour a most delicious dinner from well filled baskets was served cafeteria at the long table in the art hall after prayers by Mrs. Emma Violet an old member of the organization. After the dinner hour an interesting program was given with Raymond Daily in charge. Glad welcome to all was sang by the congregation followed with prayer by Rev. J. M. Moore and the Lord’s Prayer in unison.

A poem written by Mrs. Dollie Austill Lauerman Elliot also her letter was read by S. O. Bumgarner.
Remarks by Mrs. Clifford Daily and Mrs. Lou Patterson followed with music, by orchestra made up of Piketon and Sargent boys. After the program the business meeting was held and the following officers elected to serve in 1938 at the reunion which is to be held second Sunday in September.

Collection was taken - expenses paid and $8.45 left in treasurer was turned over to the new treasurer. Ice Cream was served to congregation after singing as the closing song - God be with you till we meet again.
The expenses for the reunion in 1938 were as follows:

The 17th Annual Reunion of the Daily - Moore School
September 11, 1938
The seventeenth annual reunion of the Daily-Moore school was held at the Piketon Fair Grounds Sunday September 11, 1938 with a large number present. The forenoon was spent in visiting and at noon the long table in the art hall was filled with good things to eat and was served after prayer by Mr. S. O. Bumgarner. In the afternoon a fine program was given under the direction of the program committee. A report of the old school people present were 12 from the brick building and eighteen who attended school in the present building. One teacher was present who taught in the brick and three present who taught in the present building. Deaths reported were Miss Nellie Daily Snowden, Daily and Mrs. Lou Patterson since the reunion the year before. The following program was:

An address by - Lawrence Wooddell a public of the old school was enjoyed very much by all present.

The business meeting was held with the Pres. C.C. Bumgarner in charge. The officers who served in 38 was elected to serve in 1939 all bills were paid off after collection was taken leaving $5.39. $5.39 in treasury. The bills for 1939 are:

The forenoon was spent in visiting and gathering old friends when some of us had not seen for years.
At the noon hour dinner was served in the art hall.
After dinner the meeting was called to order by the President C. C. Bumgarner . The minutes of the last reunion were read and approved.

The annual Daily - Moore School reunion was held at the Piketon Fair Ground, the second Sunday in September 1940.
The morning was spent in visiting with old friends and making ones. At noon a bountiful dinner was served from the long tables in the art hall. After dinner the meeting was called to order by Vice - President - Ethel Zonner and opened by a song - Glad welcome to all and followed by prayer by Rev. John M. Moore.
Music was furnished through out the afternoon by Frank Hayes band and was greatly appreciated by all.
Reading and Recitations were given by the following : Mary Flowers Daily, Mrs. Carrie Morgan, Mrs. Katherin Farmer, Emma Holt, Minnie Moore, Mrs. Ira Hawk, Ruth Howe and S. O. Bumgarner.
Short talks were given by - Florence Wooddale, and Mrs. Levina Fentin. Four residents and pupils of the Daily Moore School.
Also by Mrs. Jennie Pletcher and D. H. Farmer and a solo by Mrs. Glen Mills. A business meeting followed in which time election of officers was held and results as follows:

The meeting was then closed by singing - God be with you till we meet again. And was thru adjourning to meet at the same place and time.

September 14, 1941
The twentieth annual reunion of the Daily-Moore School was held at the Piketon Fairgrounds September 14, 1941.
The morning was spent in visiting and renewing old acquaintance at noon a bountiful dinner was served from the long tables in the art hall, after dinner the meeting was called to order by the President Mrs. Ethel Zonner.
Prayer by Rev. John Moore. Minutes were read and approved.
Singing was then furnished by Miss Muriel Moore, Emma Holt, Peter Miller,
Merten Moore, and Irvin Stirr.
Remarks by - Mrs. J. E. Smith of Frankfort.
Accordian solo by - Mrs. Nellie Shurer Walker.
