Elisha Holt

Elisha Holt , 77, prominent farmer of Seal Township, died on Tuesday afternoon at his home near Piketon. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Holt, 5 sons, Wm., of Piketon; Chester and Absalom of Akron, Carroll, at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Rhyman Dawson and Mrs. Leona Sheets of Piketon Route one; Mrs. Ernest Grooms and Mrs. Ray Echard of Waverly; Mrs. Lauerna Weishman of Lucasville and Misses Emma and Elma at home.  Funeral services were held Thursday at two p.m. at the Church of Christ in Christian Union at Piketon with the Rev. James Corson in charge and burial took place in Mound cemetery with Undertaker A. M. Gregg of Waverly in charge.

Notes: Mr. Holt was born 7 Mar 1855 and died 19 Apr 1932.  Parents were William R Holt and Nellie Phillips. The daughter was Mrs. Lawrence Weichman not Lauerna as printed.
