Mrs Ida Mae Boggs
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Boggs, 79, of Rt. 2, Waverly, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Church of God in Richmond Dale, with Rev. Ray
Anderson, officiating. Burial followed in Little Mound Cemetery there, under the direction of Botkin Funeral Home of Waverly.
Friends called at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Boggs died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, July 30 (1970) in the Pike County Hospital.
A native of Greenup, Ky., she was born on June 9, 1891, a daughter of John D. and Mary Jane (Stone) Penix.
Her husband Sherman Boggs, preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1939.
Surviving are four sons, Ranzy Boggs of Jackson, Ralph Boggs of London, John Boggs of Louisville, Ky.,
and Fred Boggs of Rt. 2 Waverly; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth White of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Lillian Coburn of Rt. 2, Waverly;
25 grandchildren and 18 great-grand children; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Barker of Wurtland, Ky.; and three brothers, Everett Penix,
also of Wurtland, and William and John Penix, both of Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Richmond Dale Church of God.
