FIRST FAMILIES of PIKE COUNTY, OHIO
To qualify for acceptance and induction into the
FIRST FAMILIES of PIKE COUNTY, OHIO.
You must be a member in good standing of the Pike Co. Genealogy Society
and have an ancestor or ancestors (your direct line) who lived in Pike Co.
before any of the below dates:
1820 for GOLD
1830 for SILVER
1840 for BRONZE
1860 for CANAL ERA
1880 for RAILROAD ERA
1900 for HORSE & BUGGY ERA
You must provide documentation which proves your ancestors were in Pike County
prior to one of the above dates and you are a direct descendant of
that/those person(s). See complete instructions by clicking here
You may prove additional ancestors at any time with no additional fee.
No limit is placed on the number of ancestors you are allowed to prove.
Proven ancestor(s) will only qualify for earliest designation.
Applications must be postmarked by July 1st. each year
for induction at that year's Annual First Families Dinner in November. If
received after that July 1st appliction will apply for the following year.
When you receive your application, complete it, attach all necessary
supporting documentation and return all to the address above, along
with $20.00.
The application and documents will be reviewed by the First Families
Committee as soon as possible. You will be notified of your approval
by mail or e-mail.
Induction and presentation of First Families Certificates takes place
at the Annual First Family Dinner in November each
year at the Library in Waverly, Ohio at 12 Noon. If you are unable to
attend the presentation ceremony, your certificate will be mailed
after the Annual First Family Dinner.
Everyone is welcome to attend the dinner.
