3. Elizabeth G. Weidinger, born 28 January 1873 in Yellowbud, Ross Co, OH; died 28 June 1943 in Circleville, Pickaway Co, OH. She was the daughter of 6. Johann Tobias Weidinger and 7. Anna Katherine Distler. Elizabeth G. Weidinger was born near Yellowbud, Ross County, Ohio, on Tuesday, 28 January 1873, and died at Berger Hospital, Circleville, Ohio, on Monday, 28 June 1943, at age 70 years, 5 months. She was the youngest child of our American Patriarchs, Johann Tobias and Anna K. Weidinger. Of her large family, only two children remain alive. Eleanor "Pete" Reid, age 88, and Martha Reid, age 95, live together in Circleville.

Anna Katherine Distler 4 January 1857 in Muggendorf, Bavaria. Johann Tobias Weidinger was born at Hiltpoltstein, Bavaria, on Wednesday, 6 August 1834, and died at Andersonville, Ohio, on Saturday, 22 June 1901. He was 66 years, 10 months, 16 days of age. He is the American patriarch of our family, having immigrated to Ross County, Ohio, in 1860. Burial: June 1901, Springbank Cemetery, Yellowbud, Ohio.

He married 49. Margaretha Malter 1743 in Hiltpoltstein, Bavaria. Johann Michael Weidinger was born in Betzenstein, Bavaria, on Thursday, 15 October 1699, and died in Hiltpoltstein, Bavaria, on Tuesday, 2 April 1759, at age 59 years, 5 months, 19 days. His father Heinrich, lived as Betzenstein village judge, councilman, and master baker until his death in 1752. In 1724, the young Johann was given an opportunity to save the family brewery and bakery of the late Jacob Herold in the nearby village of Hiltpoltstein. That year, he may have walked the ten or so kilometers to Hiltpoltstein. He even married the widow Margaretha Herold in order to legitimize his residence in her home. The much older Margaretha Herold died sometime before 1743, when Johann married Margaretha Malter. Johann Michael Weidinger was the first man of his surname to become master brewer (Baumeister) and baker (Bauermeister) of Hiltpoltstein. His progeny finally led to a later generation Weidinger (Johann Tobias) and his emigration to the United States of America in 1860.

Kunigunde Hermann 22 November 1698 in Betzenstein, Bavaria. Heinrich Weidinger was born in Betzenstein, Bavaria, on 23 August 1674, and died there on 12 March 1752, at age 77 years, 2 weeks, and 4 days. At his christening, the godfather was the faithful and good Heinrich Unger, a smith in Betzenstein. Heinrich became a member of the Betzenstein Town Council, a Judge, and the village bakkermeister (master baker). His funeral on March 14, 1752, included words from Matthew Ch. 25, "you pious and faithful servant." His death was recorded in the parish record as having been caused by an ulcer.

At his christening, the godfather was the honest and learned Johann Michael Konig, a teacher and organist in Betzenstein. Johann, like his father and grandfather, was the master baker of Betzenstein, Bavaria, Germany.

Helena Huber 1612 in Betzenstein, Bavaria. Hans Weidinger, Sr., was born in Hetzendorf, Bavaria, about 1592. While the date of his death is not known, it is known that his father-in-law, Hans Huber, was the master baker of the village of Hetzendorf. Hans Weidinger, Sr. likely learned this trade from Herr Huber before he moved with his bride to the village of Betzenstein. He was the first Weidinger to become the master baker of Betzenstein.
