I'm looking for Emma Leda GANSMILLER, b. October 26, 1887, Davenport, Ohio. Information on county would be appreciated. Could not find Davenport on any Ohio maps, etc. but this is what it's supposed to be. She married Ola E. STEELE and most of their children were born in Grover Hill, Paulding County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Christian GANSMILLER and Mary (poss. SCHARPF) married in Defiance, Defiance County, Ohio on November 29, 1868. Any information would be appreciated.

My gggrandfather appears in the 1860 US census for Indiana. It indicates that he and his wife were born in Ohio. His wife's name was Margaret. Don't know her maiden name. All of his children were born in Indiana so he must have been there since at least 1844. (oldest son was 16 in 1860). I have no idea what T.W.F stands for. This is exactly how the name appears in the census. I would appreciate any information on this family or suggestions about how I can search for info.

Searching for the descendants of Joseph Jean Baptist GEANT, born in Haute Vigneulles, Moselle, France 19 Jan 1815, and married Marie Anne ZINGUERLE in the same village 21 June 1847. Immigrated to Ohio in 1872 with sons Joseph, Edouard, August,and several daughters. Have found two death records on the SSDI and Vital Records that lead to Stark Co. Sofia GEANT died in Stark Co. between 1923 and 1927; and Georgia GEANT died in September 1974 in Stark Co. Another record on the SSDI shows that there were GEANT's in Wayne Co. There are others with the GEANT surname that have died in Ohio with no county listed: Andrew, Edward, William. Any and all info would be appreciated. I have French records on this Family, modern day contacts in France, and photo's of Haute Vigneulles that I will gladly share.

David's wife and youngest living son, Samuel, moved to Muskingum County by 1840 where oldest son, Alexander, already lived. Their children included: Peter (my gr.-grandfather), Benjamin, Jacob, Solomon, Gideon, Margaret. Peter married a woman named Luciny (nee?). He also married a woman named Mary Louise Stotenzenbarger. That last name may not be spelled correctly since I got the info from the LDS family history center. Can anyone help me find some desc. of these people. My 89 yr. old father is beginning to think he's the only one! Peter ZIMMERMAN had 2 sons-Frank B. & J. B. He may also have had a daughter named Nellie. There was also 2 step-daughters: Ella & Della.
