I am looking for a David Dale b. 03/08/1829 Franklin Co. IN Parents died in 1831 and 1837 was said to have lived with an aunt until 1852. He does not show up in the 1850 census for IN so thought maybe he was living in one of the OH counties that border IN. Do not know if the aunt was a Dale or other name. He married a Elizabeth Stephens from Shelby Co. IN

I would like to know if there is a WITCH'S (WITCHES) HOLLOW anywhere in Ohio? I have a poster that declares a Professor Jaquay would lecture on Astronomy at the Witch's Hollow schoolhouse on April 20. No year date, but believe it to 1873-1875. Poster was printed in Akron Ohio. I am seeking info on a Louis G Schmidt b in Iowa 1860-70's. He married and divorced a Julia Kidwell/Kitwell poss in Lincoln, Ne area. 1900 cen gives 2 daughters to Jacob Schmidt in Lincoln, would appear to be error and are granddaughters-Edith and Carrie born in Ohio. Known siblings of Louis are WFA Schmidt, Minnie Mann, Amelia Grass, Sophia Foster and Louisa Lemme. From paper trail would appear Louis and Julia relocated to Ohio. Any info appreciated.

Looking for information on William ORR born Ohio abt 1806 was a presbyterian minister. Census record states all these ORRs as living in the same house in 1850 in Kenton, Kentucky but born in Ohio. William ORR born in Ohio abt 1826 William H. ORR born in Ohio abt 1847. This William died Oct. 31, 1917 in KY death certificate states his father William ORR and mother Emily Pierson. Though not my direct line, information on these relatives George & Molly PHIFER (PHIFFER?)and Virginia SMITH & Toby HOLIDAY may provide some clues for me. It is believed that they lived in Middletown, Ohio. I had (have?) relatives living in Middletown, OH. I tried searching for a county name unfortunately there were three counties with this town name of Middletown. The counties were: Butler, Champaign, and Crawford. Searching for information on George Miley, b. abt. 1775, in Germany, including his parents and 3 brothers. Also searching for info concerning brother of George Miley who settled in western Ohio. In Martin's 1904 History of Noble County, Ohio, page 176, "The Miley family of Noble County, are of German, Scotch and Irish descent. George Miley, the progenitor of the Miley family, in this country, came from Germany with his father and three brothers and settled in Monongalia county, Va., which is now a part of West Virginia, on the border line between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. George Miley and one of his brothers remained with their father, and one brother settled in the western part of Ohio. George Miley married Miss Jane Moore; their children were: Abraham and John. Mr. Miley was killed at a raising about the year 1803. The sons were small at the time, one being five and the other but two years old. After six years of widowhood, the mother married George Ri! ch, a native of Pennsylvania....." George & Jane Moore Miley Rich and Abraham & John Miley settled in an area in Guernsey County, Ohio, which became part of Noble County in 1851.

I am looking for any information about Allen Swank. He moved to Texas County Missouri around 1900 or after and married Wacy McKinney. They had a son, Otis Swank (Swaink), whom is my grandfather. We think he may have moved back to Ohio somtime after they divorced in between 1912 and 1920.
