Am looking for descendants or relatives of a John Russell Eastman and Jeanette M. Eastman. I recently inherited an elderly aunt's pictures and papers. Among the pictures were two Eastmans. My eldest aunt was married to a Kenneth Eastman. The back of the man's picture says -- Dr. John Russell Eastman, Born 8/11/67, Ohio, Died 2/28/28, Evanston, Illinois. In a different ink, above the name was the number (or date) 1914. The picture of the woman shows a lovely young woman. The picture was taken by Stevens Art Studio, McVicker's Theatre Bldg., Chicago. The hand written name on the back is Jeanette M. Eastman. The clothing worn would indicate a late 1800 or very early 1900 picture. I have no blood ties to these people and would like their descendants to have these pictures (which are in excellent condition).

I am trying to trace my husband's ggrandparents, John Pollock and unk wife, who were both born in PA. They moved to OH at some point because they had several children in OH (William b 1830, Rachel b 1835, Sarah b 1841, Wilson b 1831 and Samuel b 1827). I believe there may have been a son John as John Pollock is listed as Sr when he married a 2nd time in 1844 in IA to Isabell McLain. John and Isabell had children in IA and MO. The children I've listed went with the family to IA but I'm not sure about John Jr. I believe he may have died prior to 1852 as my relative John Cowan Pollock was born in 1852 in MO and I don't think they would have 2 sons named John [but who knows!]. I have looked at census records for John Pollocks in 1820 to 1840 but can't seem to make a connection. Does any have any clues? Thanks.

I'm seeking documentation on my gggrandfather, Samuel Jewett, (about 1820-1846). He was purportedly "lost at sea." He was married in Iowa and had a family in Ohio. I have a marriage record, but nothing that mentions Samuel's parents. I'm trying to find any record that would link him to a Samuel Walker Jewett from NH, who was the same age and lost at sea about April 1846. The Jewett family in New England doesn't believe their Samuel had any progeny. I am hoping to find records of shipping companies of that era that worked the Great Lakes /Mississippi and that shipped to the east. I am also hoping to find a death notice that mentions any of Samuel's family. Sincerely, Karl Beckstrand 648 W. Wasatch St. Midvale, UT 84047 (800) 311-5618 Karlb@softcom.net

I would appreciate anyone's help. I have information that my ancestor, John A. Coleman [b. 1792 in Germany] raised a family in Union City, OH. His wife Maria was born in 1801, also in Germany. Their children were William Coleman [b. 1835], Barbara [b. 1837], Margaret [b. 1839], and Susan [b. 1841]. The family moved to Cooper County MO and William is my direct ancestor. If anyone could direct me to where in Ohio Union City is, I would appreciate it. Also, any help on tracing this family would be very useful.

I am searching for any information I can find about the Asa R. and Martha Weed BUCK family. I know they came to Ohio from Ohio sometime before 1857 as they had a child, Chauncy Orlando Buck born there 12-10-1857. They also had a son Winiford born there in 1859. I do not know if other children were born there or not. I know they had an older sister, Mary E. born in New York in 1847. I am trying to find any information possible on the wife, Martha. Her last name may be spelled differently, but that is how it appears on a marriage certificate of the son, Chauncy, in 1892. She was already deceased at that time. Thank you,

I recall my Mom saying that my Gfather was born as a buckeye. (OHIO) I of course didn't have the presence of mind to ask where. So, now I am trying to find out more information of the possible birthplace of John Lyman HARRIS. He would have been born about the mid 1800s say 1866. He was married to Eva Elizabeth Hanna in Hoopston IL in 1896 and migrated to TX by the early 1900s and then to AR where he died early 1950s. I would appreciate any input concerning his birth place, parents names and siblings. Thanks so much in advance Carl Bradley

My great-grandfather, William J. Bennett was born in 1857 somewhere in Ohio. I believe he had at least two brothers, Louis and one that went by "Bert"(maybe Albert or Wilbert??) William worked in the timber business and in the late 1880's or early 1890's came to Greene Co, PA where he met my Great Grandmother, Alice Adams. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone, I would like to find the next generation back.
