LIBRARY: The RCGS Library and office is located at 444
Douglas Avenue, Chillicothe. The hours are 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Monday,
Wednesday & Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday evening and
9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. Non-members are asked for a $1.00 donation
each time they research.
The library collection includes guide
books, county histories, vital records, tombstone inscriptions, church
records, bible records, ship passenger lists, family genealogies,
numerous quarterlies, census records, IGI microfiche, card files and
CD's. Microfilm and microfiche readers are available as well
as PCs to view the CD's.
For those unable to visit the library,
an index check for a SINGLE FAMILY (standard references in the
RCGS library only) will be made for $15.00, limited to 2 hours. If
a third hour or more is required to complete the search, an additional
$5.00 per hour will be requested. A family group sheet for the
one family (listing father, mother, and children's names
with birth/death/marriage dates and locations where known) MUST accompany
the request. Mail your request and payment to the Society at:
