Flora Wingert, an unmarried woman and resident of Richland County, has field an affidavit before Mayor Stough, charging one Cornelius Valentine with being the father of a bastard child of which she is now pregnant.  Said Valentine was taken in charge by Marshal Weil, and awaits disposition of the case.  Flora Wingert is twenty-seven years old and writes "her mark" instead of her signature.
