John COSTILLA, an Irishman, a section hand on the C.C.& C. R.R., met with a horrible death, on Wednesday last, in the following manner:   As the Express train which passes this place at 1:25 P.M. was passing a freight train about half way between this place and Crestline (the track between this place and Crestline being double track), Mr. COSTILLA stepped off the track on which he was working between the two tracks, until the trains might pass, thinking, doubtlessly that he could withstand the force given by the passing trains, but when the trains were opposite each other the force produced by the speed at which they were running at once threw him in front of the passenger locomotive, when he was immediately run over and crushed to pieces.  He leaves a wife and children in Crestline. He was an industrious man and much respected.
