Former Mansfielder Fredrick G CONSTANCE, 73, of 119 Colonial Drive, Auburndale, Fla, died Saturday evening in Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Fla, after an extended illness. He was born Jan 16, 1911 in Mansfield, and had lived here most of his life, moving to Florida in 1966. Mr Constance was a retired head of the service department at Tappan Co, a member of Tappan 25 Year Club, a charter member of the Mohican Sailing Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Auburndale. Surviving are his wife, Helen PEFFER CONSTANCE; two sons, F James CONSTANCE of Lexington and Blaine J CONSTANCE of Auburndale; two daughters, Mrs Dalton (Sheila) POWELL of Demming, Wash, and Mrs Allen (Linda) SAMS of Mansfield; one stepdaughter, Mrs Michael (Dixie) LINTA of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; one brother, Harry CONSTANCE of Naples, Fla; and one sister, Mrs Millard (Becky) GROSCOST of Mansfield. Mr CONSTANCE was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou, in 1955. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 am in Mansfield Memorial Park by the Rev William Bowers, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
