Mrs. Miller Carter of Springfield Twp., died Wednesday evening of inflammation of the bowels, after an illness of only a few days.  Mr. Carter is one of the best known citizens of Richland County, having been president of the Richland Agricultural Society for several years.  He and his family have the sympathy of many friends in their loss.  The funeral occurs today (Friday) and the interment will be made at Lexington.
