Tuesday (12/3/1895) -- Dr. J.A. Jones, after a protracted illness of several months, died at his residence on Spring Mill Street at 2:30 o'clock this morning, aged 65 years.  His illness did not assume a serious nature until the past few days, since which time he lost strength rapidly.  He died peacefully, surrounded by the members of his immediate family and was in full possession of his mind to the last.  A biographical sketch will be published later.  Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed but will be announced tomorrow.
