PLYMOUTH, Dec. 16 -- Mrs. Raphael [sic.] Kirkpatrick died at the residence of her son, George, in Plymouth, Dec. 11, 1896, aged 99 years, 2 months and one day.  Mrs. Kirkpatrick's maiden name was Dickson.  She was born in Washington County, N.Y., Oct. 1, 1797, and was married to Daniel Kirkpatrick in 1818.  The came at once to Plymouth Twp., moving by wagon through the wilderness.  She lived upon the homestead farm 75 years, experiencing all the hardships of the first pioneers.  Her husband was a soldier of the war of 1812, taking part in the battle of Plattsburg and Lake Champlain under Gen. McComb.  Mr. Kirkpatrick died in 1852.  Mrs. Kirkpatrick was the mother of five sons and four daughters.  In early life she united with the United Presbyterian Church and was a member of her death.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Andrews.  She was the oldest inhabitant of Plymouth Twp. and perhaps the oldest in Richland County.
