William Morton, Civil War veteran, died Monday morning at his home near Shelby, on the farm where he had lived 47 years.  Mr. Morton was born in Sharon Twp. 83 years ago and enlisted in Co. I, 15th. regiment, O.V.I., at Ontario.  He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Shelby.  Mr. Morton is survived by two sons and two daughters.  Funeral services were held at the Mayflower Lutheran Church this afternoon at 1 o'clock.  Burial was in the Myers Cemetery.
