COPUS SAND HILL -- Christian Vesper was born February 11, 1817, in the village of Qurenheim, Province of the Rhine, Kingdom of Bavaria, and died July 23, 1895, at the age of 75 years.  He came with his parents to America and located near where he died in Vermillion Township, Richland County, on July 15, 1841.  Mr. Vesper married Miss Susana Boyer who survives him.  Their union was blessed with thirteen children, ten of whom survive him, three having preceded him to the spirit land.  His funeral was held on Thursday and was largely attended, the funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. S.P. Keifer of Mifflin, who selected his text from the 61st. Psalm and 1st. verse.  He was buried in the cemetery on his farm.  Mr. Vesper was held in high esteem by his neighbors and friends.
