ALTA -- Two years ago, Samuel Ottinger of Mansfield, erected a fine monument on the Patterson lot in the Marlow Cemetery. A few months ago, a crack was discovered in it. Mr. Ottinger was apprised of the fact and Saturday he removed it and replaced one perfectly sound. The transaction was certainly a commendable one on the part of Mr. Ottinger. -- RICHLAND SHIELD & BANNER: 12 December 1896, Vol. LXXIX, No. 32
