NELLSON --- William A. NELLSON
....born in Perry Co., Penn., April 4, 1820; when 7 years of age, his parents removed to this county; he is the third child of John and Elizabeth NELLSON. His father was born on the same farm on which the subject of this sketch was born, in Pennsylvania, Sept. 25, 1788; his mother was born Dec. 25, 1787. Mr. NELLSON was married, Nov. 2, 1855, to Rebecca QUIN, who was born in this township Feb. 20,1824; the fruits of this marriage are five children.

NELSON --- Elmore NELSON
....he was born in Wayne Co., Ohio, April 3, 1839; he is a son of Andrew and Rachel NELSON, who came to this county in 1853, from Wayne Co.; he was married, Jan. 26, 1860, to Angeline WARD, of Richland Co.; after his marriage, he settled on the old homestead, where his wife died June 15, 1861, and on Aug. 24, of the same year, his little boy, Charles, died. On the 9th of September, 1861, he enlisted in the 15th O.V.I., Company G, and was taken prisoner Sept. 20, 1863; he reached home on the 10th of December, 1864 and on the 28th of March, 1865, he married Mary A. RUTT, of Ashland Co. Mr. And Mrs. NELSON have six children.

NILES --- Ann Niles, Mrs.

....pioneer, and widow of Eli NILES, whose maiden name was FULTON; was born near Bath, in the State of New York, Oct. 11, 1809. When she was about 14 years of age, her parents came from Ontario Co., N.Y., with a family of eight children, to Mansfield, where they remained over winter; in the spring they moved to Sharon Township, where they resided about ten years, then removed to Seneca Co., Ohio. The subject of this notice was married to John GELASPIE in April, 1836, in Seneca Co.,; they had one child, who met with an accident and died in April, 1839. November, 1848, she was married to Eli NILES; they had no children.

NIMMONS --- E.H. NIMMONS
....farmer; was born in Plymouth Township in 1846; his parents came from Binghamton, N.Y., to Plymouth at a very early day. In January, 1865, he enlisted in Company G, 191st O.V.I., where he served till he was discharged, Aug. 1865. He was married in January 1870, to Miss BRUMBACK, of Plymouth; they have four children.

NOBLE --- John A. NOBLE
....the fourth child of William and Margaret NOBLE, who was born in Butler Township, this county, Jan. 15, 1836, where he resided until the year 1853 when he removed to this township, where he has always resided with the exception of one year he spent in Montana Territory. His father was born in Cumberland Co., Penn., March 30, 1801; he settled in this county about 1832, where he still resides; his mother was born March 31, 1798, in Washington Co., Penn.; they had six children. John A. was married, Jan. 3, 1871, to Adeline M. HOWARD, who was born in Ripley Township, Huron Co., this State, Oct. 9, 1848; they have four children.

NORRIS --- William NORRIS
...., farmer, P. O. Scandia, was born in Coshocton County, Ohio in 1878(sic) [this is a typo in the original text... possibly meant 1818?]; was raised and lived there until 1848, going from there to Indiana and located in Adams County, remaining there three years; thence to Illinois, locating in De Witt County, and engaged in sheep-raising, remaining there eighteen years; then located in Missouri, and remained there two years and in 1871 located in Republic County, Kan..... He was married in 1841, in Richland County, Ohio, to Miss Martha ENLOWS.....

NORTH --- Frank J. NORTH
... stock dealer and producer, of the firm of CODY & NORTH, William T. CODY (Buffalo Bill) and Frank J. NORTH. They now own 4,500 head of cattle, which are grazed and raised on five different ranches, embracing an area of country twenty-five miles in breadth by thirty in length, situated in the Dismal River, sixty-five miles north of North Platte City in Western Nebraska. Mr. NORTH was born in Tompkins County, N. Y., March 10, 1840. His parents lived there sometime, when they moved to Richland County, Ohio, and there lived until the spring of 1856. His father, Thomas J. NORTH, made general merchandising his business while he lived in the East. They moved to Omaha, Neb., in the spring of 1856....
