Meshick RUBENDALL (possibly RUBENDOLF, RUBENDOLL or REUBENDALE) was born in PA about 1796. He lived in Richland Co., OH. The last record of him is his third marriage to Margaret AMLIN about 1855. In the early 1860's, the body of his second wife, Mary WILLIAMS, was disinterred from the cemetery in Mansfield, and moved to an unknown location. Is it possible that he died about that time, and his first wife was reburied with him. But where and when?

Hi: My gg grandfather was James TAYLOR and was married to a Sarah (last name unknown, but possibly MCCART). We believe they had 8 children in Richland county from 1840-1856, when they moved to Washington Co, IA. One more child born there. James & Sarah both died in WA county, Iowa, and are buried in Keota Cemetery there. He died 1889. Children were James, Mary, Sam, Ed, Agnes, Brainard, Alex, and Willie. (Ed is my g grandfather). The obituary of my great grandfather, Edwin Maxwell TAYLOR, said he was born in 1848 in Mansfield, Richmond County. Since Mansfield is the county seat of Richland County, I take it the paper just got it wrong. Would like any information on their Richland Co, OH roots, incl family of James and who Sarah was. I have found a Sarah MCCART married a James TAYLOR in Richland Co in 1843, but not sure if that's my gg grandparents or not. She would have been born about 1817, in OH, per 1870 census. James born about 1812, in PA per 1870 IA census. My home page describes Edwin Maxwell's eventual pioeering story to Kansas: http://members.aol.com/ntgen/index.html My Email is nmt1@ix.netcom.com My Home page is http://members.aol.com/ntgen/index.html Thanks for your support

I have two requests. My grandfather, George Wesley LAFFERTY, was born in Bellville in 1871 His father was Samuel LAFFERTY and his mother was Rebecca J MILLER. Rebecca was Samuel's third wife. She apparently had been married before, also, to a BROKAW. Samuel's parents were John and Mary LEEDOM LAFFERTY. The family came to Richland Co. from Harrison Co. Ohio in 1833. John and Mary LAFFERTY had eleven children and I would like to know the names of all eleven children. The ones I do know are James,Samuel,John, Maria, Uriah and I think Smith. I am searching for my great great grandfather Christain (Christopher) WILL who is listed in the 1880 US Census in Mansfield, Richland County, OH :pg 37, dwelling # 343, family # 406; living on Mauaage 70; wife Sarah age 64; single son Curtisage 21; married daughter Vertie REBMAN,age 26; grandson Gilbert, age 11 months. Christopher and Sarah are shown as parents born in PA. We have been unable to trace them through death or cemetary records since then, nor have we had any success in identifying their parents name. We have identified nine of their children, who were mostly born in Mifflin, OH, and my great grandfather Henry who moved to Michigan in the mid 1880's. My immediate goals are to establish the probable parents names of Christain and Sarahs parents, and then extend search to PA. Although we do not know Sarahs maiden name, it is possible that it was CULLER as we have a copy of a statement giving permission for son Henry to inter marry with an (Mary) Ellen CULLER. We have her history back to the mid 1750's and have found no otherWILL links. Then I will try to establish the families of Henry's siblings in the Ashland, Richland areas. You may know Lucille MAGGLOTT of Lucas, OH who is a fourth cousin and has been of great help to me, and has provided me missimg links on the CULLER families, and in my meeting some of the CULLER ancestors in that area. Any guidance or assistance you could provide would be of great help. I had been hoping to establish the death of Christain and then try to track down an obituary which might give some info on parents, siblings, and/or children. Hopefully, Neil My email address is Neilvwill@AOL.com mail address is Neil V. Will, 925 Glos Dr., Oxford, OH 45056

EDGINGTON/ PARAMORE. In the Biographical History of Richland Co. Ohio, 1983, by Richland Co. Genealogical Society, is the Biography of Jesse EDGINGTON submitted by Patricia Weber. I would like to get in touch with her. If anyone knows her please tell her I would like her to contact me. My e.mail is ANNALOUM@aol.com or snail mail: Anna L. Martin, 11205 E. 39th Lane, Yuma, AZ 85367. I am researching the PARAMORE line and the Margaret listed as PARAMORE/PALMER, wife of Jesse, I believe, is the sister of my ancestor. If there are others researching that line I would be happy to share info. Anna
