
The Baughn Cemetery dates to 1822, and it is the oldest cemetery in
Liberty Township. In 1824 a school house was erected adjacent to
this cemetery. The original plot of land for
this cemetery was taken from the farm of Mordecai Baughan. The
cemetery was enlarged in
1868, taking land from the farm of Orlando Wells. At this time it
was deeded to the Liberty Township
Trustees. It is located nearly a mile north of the abandoned
railroad
bed in Peoria on Raymond Road. It is a well marked and well
maintained cemetery, considering its age.
Clark Cemetery
This cemetery dates to pre-1883, and it is mentioned in the Beers' History of Union County. It
is located on Bear Swamp Road
a little over 1/2 mile south of State Route 739. It is a private
family cemetery.
Clegg Cemetery
The Clegg Cemetery is a private cemetery. It is located behind a residence at 21228 Bear Swamp Road. It is mentioned in the Beers' History of Union County, but no name is listed there for this cemetery.

Judy Cemetery

New Millcreek Cemetery
This cemetery is an active cemetery, open to the public. It is
located on Lunda Road close to the Mill
Creek
Church of Christ. It was originally a private cemetery for the
Disciple Church.

Old Millcreek Cemetery
This cemetery is no longer active, nor is it maintained. It is
located near the corner of Hoover Bault Road and Coder-Holloway Road
near Lunda. This cemetery dates to the mid 1800s.
Raymond Cemetery
The Raymond Cemetery dates to the early 1850s. It is an active,
public cemetery, currently being maintained by Liberty Township.
It is located at the corner of State Route 347 and State Route
739 near Raymond. It is on land donated to the town of Newton
(Raymond), by David Paul.
