Each member receives four issues of the Chapter's newsletter, VAN WERT CONNECTION, a surname index and membership roster, plus free queries having a Van Wert link.

Dues for the calendar year are $12 for Individual membership and $15 for Joint membership at the same address.  Dues paid after September 1 will be applied to the following calendar year.

Genealogy resources are located on the second floor of the Brumback Library. Hours are: Monday through Thursday - 9 am to 8 pm, and Friday and Saturday - 9 am to 5 pm.

Chapter meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the months of April, June, August and October at 7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church 501 E. Third St. Van Wert Ohio.

Any member of the Van Wert Genealogical Society who is a direct descendant of an ancestor who settled in Van Wert County before 31 December 1860 may become a member of First Families of Van Wert County.  Download  a First Family/Pioneer Family Application form.

Any member of the Van Wert Genealogical Society who is a direct descendant of an ancestor who settled in Van Wert County between 31 December of the year 100 years prior to the year of application may become a member of Century Families of Van Wert County.  Example: an ancestor settled on or before 31 December 1912 is eligible in the year 2012.  Download  a Century Family Application form.
