Henry GEPHART, northeast of Rockford, died last Thursday, aged 58 years. Funeral was held Sunday from the residence. Interment in Riverside cemetery, Rockford. Mrs. GEPHART is a daughter of the late Frederick ROOP, sister of Mrs. J.F. SHAFFNER and Charles THATCHER of this town, and of Mrs. Elmer MOSER of Decatur. Survivors: widow and two sons - Chauncey and Maynard GEPHART.

Obit, Mrs. J.E. MOSER died at her home in Decatur on Saturday. Death due to cancer. She was born one mile north of this town November 10, 1867, and is a daughter of Frederick and Margaret Ann ROOP, both now deceased. United in marriage to J.E. MOSER on Nov. 10, 1890. Survivors: husband, 18 year old son - Ralph; four brothers - George, Joseph and Melvin ROOP of this town, and Charles ROOP of Van Wert; two sisters - Mrs. Dr. J.F. SHAFFNER of this town, and Mrs. Henry GEPHART of Rockford. Funeral services were held from Presbyterian church at Decatur Monday.

page 4, Obit, Andrew J. ROOP, son of Joseph and Elizabeth ROOP, was born in Swinickey (sic) county, Penn., Feb. 24, 1836; died at his home August 14, 1909, aged 73 years 5 months 20 days. Moved with parents to Adams county, Ind. At age 10 years. United in marriage to Ruth BOWEN on Nov. 29, 1860. Had five children, two preceding him in death. Mr. and Mrs. ROOP resided in Mercer county, Ohio for 11 years when, in 1883, he came with his family to Kosciusko county, Indiana. Survivors: wife, son - John ROOP, near Milford; two daughters - Mrs. James DEWART and Mrs. Ernest MATHEWS, both of Syracuse. Funeral services were held at Concord church. Interment in Salem cemetery. C.E. WILCOX was undertaker.
