Van Wert-
Thomas MARSHALL, of Kear road, pleaded guilty to a charge of assulting his
step-daughter, when arraigned in Mayor's court, MARSHALL according to
neighbors whipped the girl too severely.

Work was started this morning on a modern store front for the Feigert and
Grenemier Clothing store.

Donald H. SMITH, is at home from a tour of Ohio where he delivered his
lecture: The Many Sided David".

Each one alleging that the other had stolen the money Elmer WALLS and Joe
SARGEANT are in the county jail. The boys are both police characters. WALLS
having been jailed into Juvenile Court several times for lectures and
SARGEANT is now on parole from the Boys Industrial School at Lancaster. |

Van Wert-
The Court of appeals has upheld the decision of the Common Pleas Court of
Van Wert co in awarding damages to the amount of $10,000 to Frank LEY in his
suit against the Ohio Electric Railway. The verdict was rendered after LEY
had suffered personal injuries in an accident near Lima. |

N.D. STEWART, 77, blood poisoning.
Van Wert-
Walter SMITH, S. Cherry-st, painfully cut about right ear and side of head
when chisel which he was using rebounded and struck him.
