This indenture made this tenth day of May in the year of our Lord one
Thousand eight hundred and eleven between Robert Whitacre of the County of Warren and
State of Ohio of the one part and Benjamin Whitacre of the County and State aforesaid
of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred
and Sixty five dollars to him paid the Benefit whereof is hereby acknowledged, have

bargained and sold by these presents do grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Benj???
Whitacre his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the
County of Warren and State aforesaid on the main Todds fork being part of a tract patented
unto Burr Powell assignee of John Peyton Harrison and bounded as follows, “Beginning
at a Sugartree and linn on the South side of said branch at the lower end of what is
called the long bottom on the bank of said branch running S. 42 ½ E 56 poles to two
Sycamores surrounded with Crows [sic]. Thence N. 44 E. 19 poles to a poplar and Sycamore
on the bank of the creek Thence N. 71 E. 65 ½ poles poles crossing the creek to a double sug-
-gar tree on the Side of a hill. Thence S. 69. E 53 ½ poles crossing the creek to a double
whiteoak on an Island of said creek. Thence S. 44.E. 74 poles crossing the creek to an
Ironwood two beeches and a buckeye on a hill-side, Thence S. 53. W 169 poles crossing the
creek to a stake between two white oaks and beech in the old line or Robert Whitacre,
Thence with that line N. 37. W 186 ½ poles to a dogwood whiteoak and ash in the old
line of said Whitacre. Thence N. 40 E. 59 poles to the beginning containing one hundred
Fifty two and three forths of an acre. Together with all and Singular the premises thereunto
belonging or appertaining. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or quanty of land
hereby conveyed with all and Singular the appurtenances unto the said Benj??? Whitacre
his heirs and assigns forever and the said Robert Whitacre and Patience his wife for
themselves their heirs executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land and
premises unto the said Benj??? Whitacre his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims
of all and every person or persons whatsoever do and will warrant and forever
defend from all Persons that may or should claim whatsoever, by these presents -----
In witness whereof the Said Robert Whitacre and Patience his wife have hereunto
set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

The State of Ohio Warren County. On the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord 1811 -
{seal] Personally appeared before me, James Miranda a Justice in Said County, the within
named Grantors who severally acknowledged the witness Signing and Sealing to be
their voluntary act and deed for the purposes as within disignated, and the said Patience being
examined Separate and apart from her said husband, declared herself under no com-
-pulsion by threats or otherwise, but of her own free will had executed the same, In Witness
wherof I have herunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
