GEORGE BAXTER DIES.

Word has been received in Lebanon of the death of George H. Baxter at a hospital in Montague, N. H. following an illness of three weeks. He had made his home on Forest street, Greenwood, district of Wakefield, Mass., for five years with a brother, John A. Baxter, and was a member of the Wakefield Sons of Veterans and the Ford Hall Forum, Boston. For 40 years he was identified with the Shaker faith and for 20 years was an elder at the colony at Union Village. He went to Wakefield five years ago after the colony disbanded. Another brother, Augustus M. Baxter, also lives in Greenwood. His ancestors once owned land in prerevolutionary days in what is now the heart of Boston.
