WAYNESVILLE – Mr. Joseph T. Bogan, a well known resident of Harveysburg, died at his home in that village early last Tuesday afternoon after a protracted illness with heart trouble. Funeral services were conducted from the Friends Church in Harveysburg Thursday afternoon in charge of Rev. Amos Cook and burial was made in Miami cemetery.
Mr. Bogan was a veteran of the Civil War having served as a private in Company I of the 187th O.V.I. and was past 89 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by several sons and daughters, his wife having preceded him in death last October.
Mr Dallas Yeazel, a grandson of Mr. Bogan, died at the home of his parents in Cincinnati a few hours previous to his grandfather’s death. His remains were brought here for burial in Miami cemetery Friday afternoon
