Dewey Bowman

Dewey Bowman, 84, former resident of the Springboro area, died Tuesday, June 27 at Okeechobee, Fla., where he had resided for several years.
He was a native of Owsley County, Ky. He retired as a first sergeant in 1945 after 20 years in the Army. Then he worked for National Cash Register Co.
Surviving are his wife Minnie; a son Dewey Jr. of Springboro; a daughter Sue Alexander of Springboro; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Dan of San Diego, and a sister, Dolly Chastain of Fremont, Cal.
Services were conducted Saturday at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home by Rev. Harold Stevens of Lebanon Church of God. Burial was at the Lebanon Cemetery with military honors by an honor unit from Fort Knox, Ky.
