UNION VILLAGE
As the evening shades were about to darken the earth, Friday of last
week, the spirit of Sister Sarah Ann Kripe, passed beyond
mortal night, into the vast community of souls; into the "life that
is before us, blessed immortality." Of her seventy-five years of
life, seventy were spent with the Shakers, forming a grand record of goodness
as in daily life she did her best to be and do good – the victory
of righteousness over unrighteousness.
