PFC DONALD R. SARGENT
... makes Supreme sacrice.

Pfc. Donald R. Sargent, 21, son of Mrs. Josephine Sargent of 425 Cincinnati Avenue, was killed in action on October 1 while serving with the U. S. Marine Corps on Peleliu Island according to a telegram received by his mother from the War Department, Friday. In the service two years, he attended Lebanon high school before enlisting. His brother, Pvt. Fred Sargent is serving with the engineers. Two sisters, Mrs. John Parker and Mrs. Raymond Collins, reside in Franklin.
