    • "Kings Mills Man Drowning Victim; Body of World War I Veteran Found in Little Miami," obituary, unnamed paper dated 16 Sep 1954 on file at the Warren County Genealogical Society
"Warren county's second drowning of the year was reported Wednesday afternoon when the body of Harry D. Leonard, 60, of Kings Mills was found in the Little Miami River under the bridge at Foster. Dr. H. M. Williams, coroner, said death was accidental. He was believed to have been in the water since Monday.
Leonard, a former employe of King Powder Company and Peters Cartridge Company at Kings Mills, had been in Veterans Hospital, Dayton, for several months taking treatment for TB of the spine. He had spent the week end with his mother, Anna Leonard at Kings Mills and was to have returned to the hospital. He apparently went fishing instead, the coroner said. He was a World War I veteran.
Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Friday at Oswald Funeral Home here with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason.
Besides his mother, he leaves a son, John near Hamilton."
