"Mr. Wade served in the Army's last horse-drawn cavalry
division during World War II. After this unit was phased out
he became a tank driver in the artillery divison. He was involved
in the Battle of the Bulge and the D-Day Invasion. He was
also the recipient of two Purple Hearts."
