St. Mary's Church was built in 1870 by original settlers from Ireland and is still in use today. The
first Pastor was Rev. Martin Healy. The Parish started with 49 members and now has 886 members. They own and maintain a cemetery east of the Church, which was purchased in 1874. A large parish hall was built in 1955 which is used regularly for religious education classes, wedding receptions, parish socials, dances and community projects. |
