The Bright House in 1852, the year the CT & N R. R. was built. The house was built by Lemuel
Pierce, Minott Pierce and Curtis Burr and was later sold to Fanny Bright. A third story was added
for a ball room which was also used for basketball games. The players would take Aunt Fanny, in
a wheelchair, to church in return for the use of the hall. Mrs. Bright was the aunt of Bill Pease.
