Drugs Lose 3-0 Tussle in

Wakeman

_____

Bunching three of their five hits in the third inning Sunday, Wakeman’s Red Caps scored three runs enough to down the Snodgrass drugs, a local A. club, 3 to 0, in Wakeman.

With the exception of the third inning, Tusco, the Lorain hurler, kept the Red Caps pretty well under control.

The Snodgrass nicked the slants of Duncan, Wakeman’s ex-minor league pitcher for seven bingles but couldn’t bunch their blows. Twice the Lorain team threatened to score but on both occasions, the runners were thrown out at the plate.

The Drugs took the field with a make-shift lineup, five regulars, Ondick, N. Kacur, Lengyl, McCauley and Szakats being out of the game Manager Snodgrass was forced to use Chaszar, his injured shotstop at second base and complete his team by using a Lorain spectator who accompanied the Drugs.
